A friend of mine introduced me to the concept of “self talk” where through talking to yourself and telling yourself positive things, you influence your mental outlook in a positive way, and condition yourself to have a better attitude and better health. While spending time with my friend, I have been practicing the idea of “self talk” for several years now, although at times I didn’t even know that I was doing that. It would be my opinion that this has been very effective for me, and helped me to address some of my health issues.

Allow me to introduce myself to your good readers. I am Log Blog Man, half man, half log. At first, I saw my unique condition as a curse. I didn’t fit in with the the kids in the schoolyard, the logs in the woods did not accept me either. I was an angry LogBoy.
That is when I discovered “self talk.” And it did wonders for my outlook! Of course, it didn’t change the fact that my DNA was a tangle of human and plant matter. But through “self talk” I came to accept myself for who I was. Half man, half log.
