I’ve been absent!
Hi everybody. I hope there are still a few people following my personal site! I’ve been absent from this site for a bit now. Unfortunately, back at the beginning of September I got ill, and was quite sick for quite a while!
I got a case of Dengue Fever. Dengue is a tropical disease that is caused by mosquito bites. Dengue is deadly in about 5% of those who contract the disease. I was lucky, though, I lived through it! Actually, it can take up to about 6 months to fully recover from a case of dengue fever, although after a month or 6 weeks, the worst affects of the disease have generally passed. So, while I am not 100% recovered, I am feeling pretty good these days. The time when I notice that I am still not 100%, though, is if I stay out in the heat too long, or if I generally overexert myself. When I do that, I quickly lose my strength and become weak. I am getting better as each week passes, though.

I am new to your website and I am reading all the great information here.
I am some what new to the Philippines since I am coming up on my first year here, Dec.17th.
I am 49 and from Oklahoma, and also married to a pinoy and we live in Mandaue city. Cebu.
I just wanted to say hello and I hope to exchange thoughts with you in the future.
I have a couple of things I would like to share with you if you have the time to look into them.
The first is about the Dengue Fever. I do not subscribe to a lot of the B.S. from “orthodox” medical treatment as I have learned there are a numerous amount of alternatives. I would ask that you take a look at this website http://jimhumble.biz/ some of the ideas presented may come off as “way-out-there” but i am sold on what he demonstrates. I brought a bottle of MMS with me from the states so as to stop things like Dengue Fever dead in it’s tracks and yes I have used it to stop food poisoning and flu in the states. It is well worth the read. Second I have a good one for you, this is a freeware program I use to watch USA tv.. Totally free and I have tried several, and this one is the best so far and the free is usually a plus. It is called ReadonPlayer and the download page is http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/Internet-Radio-TV-Player/Readon-Free-Internet-TV-and-Radio-Online.shtml I hope you can use it. I get to watch all the streaming live shows while my wife is absorbed with the pinoy tv show WOWOWEE and Willie.

Hi Kelly – Nice to meet you, I hop eyou are enjoying your first year here in the Philippines! I’ve been living in the Philippines for 10 years. A little over 2 years in GenSan, and 8 in Davao City. I really love it here, and have never been back to the States in that time.
We all get to have our own opinions, and I respect that. When it comes to stuff like that MMS thing… well, I personally don’t believe in it. But, if you believe in it, I hope it works well for you.
On the TV thing.. well, I watch pretty much any tv show that I want by downloading them via Bit Torrent. About the only thing I miss is Fox News, but I can also live without it, since I am already used to not having it here.
