Bob,
I am American, retired Navy… i was stationed in Subic Bay for 2 years and again at Sangley Point for another 2 years…. All together i probably spent a good 12-14 years in the Far East… My attitude in all countries was and is to respect the locals… When in Rome… i always traveled a good deal in Luzon and lived like the natives. That was one of the most rewarding and enjoyable thinks of my life and if i could i would join you and the other expats to live there…
