Dad and daughters hanging out on a nice day, enjoying some time together on the front porch. Dad and Nicole hanging out on the front porch. Feyma and I in Tugaya, Lanao del Sur. Check out that Crocodile Cannon on the ground in front of us. It is actually a functioning cannon in the form of a crocodile! Wow! Very cool.
Lun Padidu is a small village in Sarangani Province. I have been there many times, as my wife's family lives in the area. Lots of farming in the Lun Padidu area, and lots of friendly people too. There is always an abundance of great fruit in Davao City. Bananas, Oranges, Pomelo, Apples, Green Mango... it's all here, and many more! Here, I am showing my friend from Marilao, Bulacan, Dave Starr what fruits can be found in Davao. Here is a picture of what you see when you arrive at Zamboanga City Airport, welcoming you to Asia's Latin City!
I visited Wao, Lanao del Sur a while back. Wao is one of the few places in Lanao del Sur that has a significant Christian population. I found it to be a nice place! Daddy and Nicole. Nicole is celebrating her 8th birthday! Bob & Feyma standing under the entry sign at Chema's by the Sea Resort. On Samal Island, Davao del Norte.
How about some strawberries? These strawberries were locally grown in Bukidnon. I bought these strawberries (and more!) from a vendor along the highway in Bukidnon last April. Quite delicious! In Tawi-Tawi with Juana Sahali, the wife of Governor Sahali. Riding in a speedboat confiscated from the Abu Sayyaf just a week earlier! Bongao Peak in the background. I visited Pikit, North Cotabato. Pikit is a nice little town, although it has a reputation of being a war torn area. Back in 2000 during Erap's "all out war" in Mindanao Pikit was indeed a victim to bombing runs by the Philippine Air Force.
The Central Mosque in Tugaya, Lanao del Sur. This Mosque was designed and built by the father of a good friend of mine, Ash Tamano. My visit to Tugaya was a really interesting adventure! At the Provincial Capitol Building in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat. Very beautiful, and the people in SK were very friendly, even gave me a personaized tour of the place. Davao del Sur. Feyma and I on a visit to Santa Maria, Davao del Sur. What a beautiful place. We spent the day at the beach called "Little Boracay."
Me with my friend JJ. JJ is a kid I met not far from our house a few months ago. Anytime I am out walking JJ always likes to entertain me a bit. I recently bought him a new basketball, he was so happy! That's me with my apo, Ivan. Ivan lives in General Santos City. November 2011 at Asia United Bank in GenSan. Orman is Aaron's Ninong.
Oops! Who snuck that picture? A happy family after a great Thanksgiving Meal 2011 After enjoying a nice Thanksgiving Meal!
Bob preparing for lunch at Bon Appetit La Boutique restaurant in Davao. Had a nice lunch yesterday with Kevin and Michelle Clark. We ate at Roadhouse Cafe in SM Citiy Davao. Had Sizzling Pochero... very good! After many years of being online friends, I finally met Jojie Alcantara at Coffee Dream a couple months ago!
Enjoying family time with Aaron at Ranchero Grill Restaurant. It is Aaron's 15th birthday. Dad and daughter! Happy Birthday, Jean. Yesterday was Jean's 15th birthday. Here I am with her at Blackbeard's Seafood Island in Abreeza.
