A killer Mosquito!

Hi everybody.  I hope there are still a few people following my personal site!  I've been absent from this site for a bit now.  Unfortunately, back at the beginning of September I got ill, and was quite sick for quite a while! I got a case of Dengue Fever.  Dengue is a tropical disease that is caused by mosquito bites.  Dengue is deadly in about 5% of those who contract the disease.  I was lucky, though, I lived through it!  Actually, it can take up to about 6 months to fully recover from a case of dengue fever, although after a month or 6 weeks, the worst affects of the disease have generally passed.  So, while I am not 100% recovered, … [Read more...]

Always exceed expectations

Do you read many blogs?  I read quite a few.  Some are more special than others are, no doubt.  Some blogs touch you in a place that others don't even come close to.  Know what I mean?  One person who almost always is able to reach me with just the right message is Steve Olson.  I don't know for sure what it is about Steve that imparts meaning to me, but in many ways I find that he and I share some similarities in our lives, and that probably makes his writing meaningful to me.
